Two Degrees is a mobile app that allows you to identify seemingly complete strangers around you with whom you have friends in common. The Two Degrees app shows you people in your immediate vicinity who share a mutual friend with you, but whom you are not already connected to, and who would not be aware of your presence otherwise. This commonality suddenly gives you and that stranger standing "over there" the ability to approach and communicate with each other in a cool, comfortable and non-threatening manner. The inevitable immediate question is, "I must ask - how do you know so-and-so?!" You know when you are making small talk with a stranger and ask, "Where are you from?" And then they tell you and you reply, "OMG–do you know so-and-so?!" In the case that they do (and you are a fan of the person in question), it's likely you became immediate best friends!
