When over two-thirds agreement of all people is needed, and research on 100 people indicates 75% people agree, do you think over 2/3 of real population agree?
In this case, statistical test should be employed.
Input 0.67 (=2/3) in population proportion, 0.75 in sample proportion, 100 in sample size, and 0.05 significance level.
Then, simple press the Calculate button.
If p value is equal to or less than the significance level, over 2/3 population agree under the condition of significance level 0.05.
But p value is more than the significance level, you cannot say 2/3 people agree with it.
