A guide to Happy Tooting

Toots, Tags and Threads. Oh my.

Toots are sound bytes.

Toots can be 9 seconds or less.

Toots are organized in topics.

Topics are groups of toots.

There are basically four things you can do with Toots.

1) Create a toot thread.

2) Query a toot thread.

3) Listen to toots in threads.

4) Add a toot to a thread.

The interface consists of a field at the top that contains the toot tag. In this case the toot tag is called "my.toot.tag".

The toots in the thread "my.toot.tag" are represented in a list box by timestamp.

There are five buttons.

TO CREATE A TOOT THREAD FOLLOW THIS PROCEDURE:

1) Enter a unique tag in the entry field at the top.

2) Press the RECORD button to start the recording.

3) Press SEND to save the recording.

TO QUERY A TOOT THREAD

1) Enter the threads toot tag in the above entry field.

2) Press REFRESH button to bring down the toots in the thread.

LISTEN TO TOOTS

1) Press the toot (represented by the timestamp in the list box) to play the toot.

ADD YOUR OWN TOOT

1) Press RECORD button.

2) Press SEND.

3) Toot will be added to the thread that is represented by the toot tag.
