This course will explore the subject of self-harm through the eyes of Kelly. As an adolescent female, she represents a section of society particularly at risk.We will also explore issues around self-harm that can affect people regardless of their age, gender or circumstances. We will look at how we can provide support to people affected by self-harm, and what they can do to help themselves. The course includes:• The forms can self-harm can take• Myths and attitudes towards self-harm• Why do people self-harm?• What to look out for• Talking to someone who has been self-harming• How someone can ask for helpThe course also includes a quiz to ensure that learners fully understand the course content. Their score can be captured and printed if required.The course can be purchased individually, or combined with other titles to form an induction or ongoing training programme.
