More than a century after Elmer Miller built his extraordinary home at Fifth and Lewis Streets (now Fifth St. and J.R. Miller Blvd.), a new era has begun for a historic home that the local newspaper described in 1905 as “a Model of Beauty, Elegance and Convenience Throughout."
The home – designated a Kentucky Landmark in the early 1980’s – has seen its share of ups and downs. But after being lovingly and painstakingly restored from 2006 to 2009 (notwithstanding damage from a tornado in 2007), a the home is now open in Owensboro’s historical downtown district as The Miller House Restaurant.
The Miller House Restaurant offers seasonal menus to ensure the highest quality produce and proudly serves Kentucky Proud products.
