“Sports Timer” is a countdown timing and scorekeeping application designed specifically for team sports like Lacrosse (LAX) and Hockey. It can also be used with other sports like basketball and soccer. With “Sports Timer” you no longer need to spend over $100 on a LAX clock device or fumble around with trying to start/stop multiple kitchen timers together on the whistle.

Version 1.0 of “Sports Timer” includes the following features:

• Keeps track of game time and up to 4 penalties (2 penalties in Trial mode) with one start/stop button.

• Supports both “STOP TIME” and “RUNNING TIME”. When running the game clock in “running time”, it has the option to run penalties in either “stop” or “running time” as well.

• Allows the setting of penalties of standard length (30 sec, 1 min, 2 min, or 3 min) with just one click, or setting custom times via a keypad.

• Individual Reset buttons on penalty timers allow easy clearing of “releasable penalties” without accidently resetting the main game time.

• During time outs or between periods, the application automatically displays a count up timer that tracks the length of the pause in play.

• Keeps track of the scoreboard score and period of the game.

• Includes options to enable sounds for end of period, end of penalty and warning beeps prior to end of a period/penalty (warning sounds beep at 2:20, 2:00, 1:00, 0:30, 0:20, and count down last 10 seconds of a period and last 5 seconds of a penalty).

• Allows the user to disable the phone’s lock screen (screen saver).

• Includes an advanced option to allow setting the penalty/secondary timers without stopping the main game clock (useful for tracking a shot clock or other constantly resetting countdown timer).

• If you need to jump to another app or take a phone call while timing a game, all active clocks will keep running; so you never have to worry about losing track of time!
