Sail-Air is a version simple sailing aid app which helps in sailing regattas smart and efficient. It helps to find the right cruise path for the user. It runs on Android devices.

Using the Sail-Air makes the navigation of regattas and sailboats smart and efficient, the App is very easy to use. It helps you get from your location to another route point with the actual wind direction and the most optimal cruising way.

Features:

In order to get the optimal path please follow the following few steps:

Setup your boat performances (required only once):

1. Click on the “Settings” and “Boat performance”.

2. Setup the dead angles.

3. Setup the “your speed” (turning time) – this is the average time of a turn.

If you have already configured your boat performances then the following steps should be followed:

1. Setup the wind direction (by click on the “WIND” button then add the wind direction manually).

2. Add route points/destination (by click on the “DEST” button then tap on the map to localize the route point).

3. If have misconfigured the route point you can clear them one-by-one with the “CLEAR” button.

The app prints the optimal route on the map based on your route points. If you press the “INFO” button and tap on one route point it will show the angle of the optimal path. The app recalculate the optimal route based on your actual track (GPS based).
