Created for use with RED ONE®, EPIC® and SCARLET® professional cameras, the REDTools App is a convenient, multipurpose toolkit designed for on-set use by digital imaging technicians and camera operators, and as a learning tool for camera enthusiasts. It features six tools that can assist with:- Visualizing crop factors and lens focal length- Estimating maximum recording time based on storage space and project settings- Identifying safe flicker-free frame rate and shutter speed combinations under pulsed lighting- Calculating how lens settings affect depth of field- Seeing how project settings and ND filters influence exposure- Finding a suggested panning rate to minimize judder and strobingEach is customizable based on RED sensor and camera type. Standard film formats are also included for comparison.
