Have your phone send an SMS alert to someone and let them know how far you are from an address when you enter its proximity. You can also disable the SMS feature and simply remind yourself that you are getting close to an address.
This tool can come in handy when you are picking somebody up and need to inform them that you are near but you can't text them because you are driving. With SMS disabled, you can use it when you're on public transport and need to remind yourself that you are approaching your stop. Of course, there are many other applications too, just use it as you find fit.
