Troubleshooting:

GURU will take you through a trouble-shooting decision tree with an interactive graphical utility to help you identify the problem quickly. GURU utilizes filters to narrow down search criteria on faults seen in the field. These corrective actions also contain diagrams to further provide help to the technician who may not be thoroughly familiar with the unit. GURU provides access to known problems to quickly resolve field issues.

Utilities:

-The RMA module provides shipment status information and a link to the courier’s tracking website. GURU automatically selects the correct courier that was used.

- Warranty check provides information on the warrant status of a device by simply inserting the serial number.

- Express RMA functionality provides CSP’s the ability to submit RMA requests from the field.

- R5 provisioning interface: Provisioning NVRs in the field just got a lot easier. Using the GURU app, the QR code on the front panel of an 8000 Series Hybrid NVR and a wireless dongle, technicians can connect directly to an NVR to change an IP address or tweak other network settings.

- Mobile Asset Tracking allows transit agencies to track their mobile NVR hard drives

Known problems. Please note that after inserting and removing a wireless dongle from the NVR repeatedly, a known problem exists where the GURU app may fail to connect to the Wi-Fi dongle under R5 Provisioning. To work around the problem, please follow these steps:

1. Exit the GURU app

2. Go to 'Settings' -> 'Network Connections'

3. Look for a Wi-Fi network starting with 'MNxx' where xx is the last two digits of the NVR's serial number
