Linada Get is an application for downloading images and songs from your UPnP and DLNA compatible Media Servers into your phone's Media Library for offline use. The Media Library is a service of the Windows Phone 8 operating system and as such content stored there can be accessed and used via other software, such as the phone's own music player and photo viewer.

Linada Get supports background file transfers for up to 25 items and you can queue up to 500 items into the Linada's own download list. By default, Linada Get attempts to download items from the download list whenever you activate the application.

The basic use consists of the following steps:

* Browse your UPnP / DLNA media servers for music and pictures you'd like to download into your phone.

* Add the desired content into the Linada Get's download list.

* Initiate the file transfers, which by default happens automatically, but it can be configured in settings to be manual.

Linada Get then proceeds to download the selected content for as long you keep the application active or there is nothing more to download. If screen-lock is activated or you navigate away from the application, Linada Get continues to download for up to 25 items in the background. When you deactivate the screen-lock or navigate back into the application, Linada Get resumes downloading if there are still items to be downloaded in the download list and the Media Servers are still reachable.

In addition, you can enable Linada Get to run under screen-lock, which is useful if you want to download many files continuously.

Note, Linada Get is not a UPnP Media Server, UPnP Media Renderer or a media player. In addition, Linada Get downloads only music and pictures that can be stored into the phone's Media Library (JPEG for images, MP3 and WMA for audio). Videos cannot be stored into the Media Library and because of that video downloads are not supported.
