One who is fasting should not resort to obscene language and absurd acts. If any one uses abusive .language and is prepared to quarrel, the person who is fasting should say: I am fasting (Transmitted by Bukhari)The month of Ramadan is worthy of excellence as its very purpose is to educate a person to refrain himself from committing sins. For this purpose the Evil Ones are chained so that a person who wants to safeguard himself from sins should not be hindered. The fact is that in this holy Month of mercy and blessedness, by little struggle and desire, every person tends towards performing good deeds and refrains from committing wicked ones. Therefore, whoever forgoes food during the day and spends a part of the night in the worship of Allah and becomes firm in his devotion to Allah controls his uncontrollable passions and purifies his desires; whoever suppresses his animal inclinations, increases his spiritual strength; whoever repents for his sins and adopts the path of virtue has accomplished the very purpose of fasting and acquired his hare of the reward from the bounties of this holy month.
