The Kelly Strategy is a method to maximize the long-term rate of return (ROI) on a series of investments or bets.

The Kelly Bet Basic calculator provides criterion for deciding whether an investment is worthwhile or just a loss or whether you will start investing with enough money to protect yourself against ultimate loss. These criterion include the Kelly expectation and the Probability of Ruin. The main output of the calculator is the optimal amount and fraction of one's investment bankroll to invest on the opportunity being studied.

The calculator itself comes with an in-app tutorial and notes for utilizing the Kelly Strategy. You can turn off display of the End Users License Agreement on startup by going to the preferences menu item and unchecking the corresponding checkbox. You can also turn off display of the start up screen (goes directly to the calculator) from the preferences menu.
