FiberSolver computes the main scalar (LP) or vectorial (HE, EH, TE, and TM) modes of a step-index optical fiber. The optical fiber can contain up to five layers. Each layer can be made of different materials as silica, air, water or Ge-doped silica.FiberSolver computes :- Mode field in 2D and in 3D,- Effective index,- Propagation constant,- Effective area,- Group index,- Dispersion,- Mode diameter,- Modal numerical aperture,- Fraction of power in the fiber core.All these parameters can be calculated for different wavelengths and temperatures.
