This is a very simple app which computes the sum from 1 to N using T threads, and prints the execution time. That's all.
The purpose of this is to let students experiment with the scheduler of the Linux kernel. The scheduler can, of course, not be modified with the app. Instead students in the EDA050 Operating Systems course at Lund University in Sweden modify, compile, and boot their new kernel on the emulator (or a real phone) and study the performance effects of their modifications.
The app is free and anyone may use it.
It can also be used to check whether a multicore performs as expected for this CPU-intensive task.
