The deplorable prospect of death doesn't even faze you. It as if this life was the predestined purpose of your life. Beneath your feet in the sucking mud covered hole, maggots crawl briskly, hither and yon. You don't bat an eye.

Once upon a time you were an American citizen drafted beyond your will to serve the US military. After training, your first mission was to reclaim the capitol city of these terrorists, and reclaim the kidnapped scientist which held the key to a powerful and masterful new nuclear weapon. During the mission, your squad was annihilated, all except for you. The attack was brutal and swift. You should have died. Perhaps you should have felt guilt for that, but like your innocence, so much of the person you were before was quickly fading from your soul, blackened by war. Fueled by anger, you know your journey does not end here. A prisoner of circumstances you might be, but now it's time to become the hero the world needs. You must do the unthinkable and complete the mission and infiltrate the enemy base and retrieve the hostage.
