✭ Entrepreneur names Sutro Media one of the Top 10 Travel Brilliant Companies in the Travel space for 2011 ✭ Have a wicked blast romping through Boston’s past and into her present with this app ==> whether you’re visiting next week or an armchair traveler. Who said 380+ years of history and blue-blood Brahmins had to be boring? Who said travel apps had to be flat and one-dimensional?
✭How This App Can Help You✭
• Let seafood king Jasper White show you how to choose the perfect lobster (via a YouTube clip).
• Find and photograph the cobblestoned Acorn Street on Beacon Hill.
• Learn about JFK’s role in the Cuban Missile Crisis (through a Wikipedia link within the JFK Museum entry).
• Easily sort for the perfect boutique hotel in the best neighborhood for you and then the North End’s best cannoli.
• Kick back and check out the Patriot’s Tom Brady and then a raucous St Patrick’s Day Parade (via YouTube links).
• Explore the gorgeous Greenway after watching 30+ images in a fabu slideshow.
• Decide between sticky buns at Flour Bakery+Café at Fort Point Channel; cupcakes at the South End Buttery Café; and apple caramel ice cream at JP Licks on Newbury Street.
✭What This App Offers✭
Think of it as “curated content” that sifts and filters the good from the "eh.” With 350+ entries and 2100+ photos, it might be a stretch to call it “essential” by conventional measures. Instead, the app provides lots of editorial coverage and opinions to satisfy and guide you to the perfect restaurant (for your wallet and time budget); to enhance your cultural proficiency of Boston; to help you laugh and learn while exploring all facets of Boston. Whether you are 10 years old or 90; whether you are from within or outside the U.S.; whether you're visiting Boston for a weekend or 10 days; or whether you've never been here or have lived here for years ... you'll find out more about Boston than you ever knew.
Never been to Boston? The neighborhood overviews give you a bigger picture impression. (In other words, sort by neighborhoods and about 25 entries will pop up. Start there :-))
Check it out; it costs way less than a fancy coffee drink and it will last much longer!

She's written and photographed the Backroads of New England deck for Chronicle Books; has gotten down in the trenches writing about Boston public toilets for Arthur Frommer himself; and has appeared on WCVB-TV's Chronicle talking about Boston hotels and on CNN talking about foliage in New England.
