Blackbay’s customers can deploy pre-configured best practice Delivery Connect applications with the ability to quickly configure those applications to meet their specific business processes.

The framework underpinning Delivery Connect allows our customers to take immediate advantage of pre-configured Delivery Connect applications built from Blackbay’s knowledge and expertise of the T&L market. These applications include real-time track and trace, proof of delivery (POD), despatching, on the road, routing and scheduling capabilities and active two-way communication between the consignee and delivery driver.

As well as making it easy for Blackbay customers to hit the ground running with the deployment of pre-configured applications, it understands that one size does not always fit all, the framework allows Blackbay’s customers to quickly, within hours as opposed to days, make functionality changes to existing Delivery Connect applications to match their individual business processes.

The framework has been developed so that screens, process flows and logic are all driven by configuration and can be deployed at runtime. Another important ease of use capability allows users to quickly and seamlessly switch between applications.

To ensure that customers can deploy Delivery Connect applications on the mobile device of their choice, the framework is mobile device agnostic. It achieves a balance between platform specific user interfaces (UIs) so applications can run on iOS, Android, Windows Mobile and Windows Phone platforms and retain the look and feel consistent with the respective platform.
