"It's A Jungle Out There".... Downtown Eagle River is the site of the Bear Paw Festival
The Bear Paw Festival is the largest and longest running community event in Chugiak-Eagle River drawing participants from throughout Southcentral Alaska. The Bear Paw Festival features the most renowned parade in Alaska, as well as great events such as Slippery Salmon Olympics, Classic Car Show, Motorcycle Show, Bear Paw Pageant for young men and women of high school age, Running With The Bears, Teddy Bear Picnic for the younger set, and many more family friendly events.
The Bear Paw Festival is held annually in downtown Eagle River around the second week in July. Check out the website at www.bearpawfestival.org
The Bear Paw Festival is organized by the Chugiak-Eagle River Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber is a nonprofit organization that promotes sustainable economic of our community. Our vision for Chugiak-Eagle River is "the Most Livable and Unique Community in Alaska."
