Welcome to the ASTP-Proton annual conference. This year we are bringing new ideas, methodologies and success stories to share and learn from.The shift from an opportunistic to a pro-active approach – finding interesting and commercially viable results and then identifying licensing partners – in which the knowledge transfer professionals develop and de-risk scientific results to a stage of maturity that makes them relevant to investors, industry and society is perhaps the most important development in recent years in knowledge transfer profession.Created with the help of volunteers and practitioners, this year’s conference is titled “New Horizons, New Opportunities”. The annual conference will be held on 20-22 May 2015 in Istanbul, hosted by the Turkish University – Industry Cooperation Centres Platform (USIMP).
