Most of the Android email clients, Gmail, K9 mail client does not have a built in meeting event (ics) reader. They will show you the .ics file but there won't be any application to read that and create an event. iCal Reader is a simple application that will read the .ics file and creates an event in your calendar with your timezone. Similarly, if you get a cancellation event then it will ask you to remove the event from the calendar. Currently I am using it with K9 email client.
P.S. PLEASE CONFIGURE YOUR CALENDAR WITH THE GMAIL ACCOUNT OF YOUR PHONE BEFORE USING THIS APP.
This app contains only one screen and will not be visible in launcher, but will be launched on opening the ics file. I added only one Ad at the bottom. The Create/Cancel button will be enabled in five seconds.
