This app uses images and animations of growing bacteria to track and visualize how much time users spend on their daily activities. The process of bacteria grow is simulated in real speed to create a different experience of time.
Designer Ruyuan Ge, from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), presents this digital bacteria timer as part of Chicago’s whatnot collection at Milan's premier gallery of independent design, Spazio Rossana Orlandi, during the Salone Internazionale del Mobile (Milan Design Week) 2013.
