Student Volunteer Foundation has been established under the Companies Act 1965 as a Company Limited by Guarantee (SBMJ). The Foundation was registered under the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) started on August 24, 2011.

The objective of establishing YSS are as follows:

(i) To assist the world community who need assistance and the volunteer service;

(ii) To promote understanding of the world of universal peace;

(iii) To realize the spirit of concern for students’ well-being of the world;

(iv) Placing of Malaysian students as volunteer leaders on the world stage;

(v) Establishing relationships and the networks at the international level;

(vi) To introduce Malaysia as a hub for global volunteers to produce educational and

(vii) To provide an understanding of the socio-cultural Malaysia towards world peace.

The main mission is to promote the establishment YSS world peace and promote a spirit of camaraderie through community service in and outside the country.

YSS establishment also took into account the needs of Key Results Area (KRA) of the Ministry of Higher Education to produce students with a holistic manner.

Participation in voluntary programs the students are able to produce a progressive and dynamic, the idol to others and society as a whole, capable and highly capable in diverse fields and Handling of risk-taking.
