Welcome to the Translator Heaven Japanese conjugation and grammar tool.

This app has one goal: To help you look up verb conjugations and grammar rules during your Japanese studies instead of digging through websites, textbooks or class-notes for answers.

Personal note:

I built this app to help me decipher Japanese texts at a reasonable speed as a fun (but serious) hobby, and as such the app will always be free for all users. I am building the app's database myself since there is currently no easily accessible repository for rules of the Japanese language. I am always open to suggestions on conjugations, grammar rules, expressions, etc..

I'm improving and updating the app and its database on a weekly basis, so be sure to check for the latest version!

This app is a straightforward tool for aspiring learners of the Japanese language. You can search for words in English, Romaji, Hiragana, Katakana, Kanji and even mixed script. The app includes lengthy lists of verbs, nouns, adverbs, adjectives, common expressions and grammar rules.

The app includes four main functions:

- Basic Search:

Normal mode: Look-up a grammar keyword, noun, adverb, adjective (even conjugated), oral expression or verb in English or Japanese (Romaji with various spellings or Kanji), and see how it is used in example sentences.

Extended mode: In addition to the above results, shows uses of the requested word in other examples in the app's database.

- Conjugation Search:

Normal mode: View a great variety of conjugations for more than 900 Japanese verbs. Enter the verb in English or Japanese (dictionary form), select the requested verb from the available choices, and then select the tense.

Extended mode: Look-up a conjugated verb in Japanese. This is especially useful if you have a conjugated verb but can't recognize the original verb or don't know the meaning of the conjugation.

- Transliterator:

Convert a word from Romaji, Hiragana or Katakana to both of the other forms.

- Online Search:

Search for additional definitions and examples in the Tangorin online dictionary, and look-up any unsupported words.

Additional functions:

- Press on X to clear the input.

- Press on H to view and select a word that was recently looked-up.

Known issues:

- Rotating the screen or restarting the app will clear all the app search history.
