TimeMarch is an iPhone/iPad app that creates personal and historical timelines. Individual Timelines can be grouped together, which allows you to see events of one timeline in context of other timelines. Each timeline is color coded so that events in a grouped timeline can be easily identified to specific timelines. Timelines can be exported by emailing them as text/csv files (which can be opened in excel) and they can be imported by simply emailing a text/csv file to the app. A teacher could use this facility to simply email timelines to her students & students can share timelines by emailing them to each other.The grouping feature of TimeMarch is also very useful. For example if you're studying American history, you might create a timelines for the Industrial Revolution, and another on the issue of Slavery in America. You can group these timelines to see how the advent of the Industrial Revolution affected slavery. Or you could be writing a novel and might have created timelines for each of your characters. When you group the individual timelines of your characters, you can see all the character events in context. Or you could have created your personal timeline, which when grouped with timelines of world events, gives you a perspective of your life.
