Imagine two great pianists, consider them to be two gorgeous girls, think of a great passion for Ragtime and Hot Jazz: now mix it all together and voila: The Ragtime Chicks!

Right from the beginning of the 20th century and straight from the heart of that musical melting pot called New Orleans, the two girls appear in all their splendor on the stage: a few seconds to accommodate on their piano stool and the ragtime floods the hall, through four talented hands that beat and caress the black and white keys, making the piano swing; sometimes with the lightness of a butterfly, sometimes with the richness of a philharmonic orchestra.

The act starts with a wink and a smile, with The Temptation Rag rearranged for four hands with a overwhelming beat that makes your fingers snap all the time.

Then the show unravels before the audience with several ragtimes and some hot jazz milestones: a wise choice that includes the most known compositions of Scott Joplin interleaved with the funniest and unknown ragtimes of several composers of the same era. The four-hands arrangements of the Chicks are inventive yet true to the original, giving a spicy new flavour to their music.

On the whole, a show that gives you a lighthearted hour of happy music with some reflective moments and a continuous amazement for the blazing piano mastering of the Ragtime Chicks!
