TheFuneralApp is a push notification type app in which users can follow or be notified about the posting of any obituaries to their customized city list. The user can look for an obituary in the city in which they grew up, went to school, worked in, or currently reside...as many cities as the user wishes to follow. You can quickly and easily browse the obituaries for any city within our nation with a single click on your phone. This application is not simply a link to different newspapers. This app links you directly to the appropriate funeral homes’ websites for the full obit and life stories. No longer do you have to subscribe to multiple newspapers, search the web for death notices in multiple cities, or search out funeral home websites to find and read the obits that are important to you. Once you download the Funeral App, you select as many cities as you need or want and you are automatically notified of any new obituary posted to any funeral home’s website within that community. Many of us rely on obituaries to let us know when a distant family member or friend has passed. Obituaries are sometimes the only way we learn of the fallen soldiers that are so near and dear to our hearts. The same is true for those we care about within our own community.
