Talus is a mobile application that compiles and simplifies the methods most commonly used by forensic anthropologists, bioarchaeologists, and paleoanthropologists to assess sex, age, stature, and ancestry of human skeletal remains. Talus is intended to be used by students, academics, and professionals for learning, research, and reference purposes.
Talus was developed by Emily Niespodziewanski, a graduate student in the Michigan State University Department of Anthropology (http://anthropology.msu.edu), in collaboration with Michigan State University's MATRIX: The Center for Digital Humanities & Social Sciences (http://matrix.msu.edu). Development of Talus was supported by Michigan State University's Cultural Heritage Informatics Initiative (http://chi.anthropology.msu.edu).
