Stop and Pray encourages all persons to stop and pray regularly throughout the day. Commissioned by the Stevenson School for Ministry, Harrisburg, PA, the app permits the user to select a time for prayer in the morning, noontime, early evening and at the close of day, following the "Daily Devotions for Individuals and Families" in the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer. The user can read any of these four offices and move between them.
The app requires Android version "KitKat" or higher.
The user is asked to permit notifications, and receiving notifications requires that the app run in the background, and this can reduce battery life. Notifications can be accepted or denied within the app, and on the phone settings.
The app is optimized for a small-screen Android phone.
