How many times has this happened to you?
You are out on a stakeout, of a criminal suspect, of a suspected cheater, of some big game. You are doing your best to stay out of sight and not be noticed, but you want to know the time.
You could pull out and look at your cell phone, but that would give your position away and possibly make the situation worse... but you really want to know the time, how long have you been sitting there? How long until your shift is up or it's no longer legal to hunt for the day?
If you're like me, I'll have an ear bud in my ear and be listening to a podcast or audio book to help pass the time, but even then knowing how long until an event is tricky.
