Customer Reviews:Great, simple, easy-to-use -- Works perfectly! * * * * *by Upstate-NY-commuter - Version 1.3.5 - Oct 12, 2012FANTASTIC app. I commute 230 miles to work once a week, and I am just the kind of person you designed the app for: On the roads I drive, I have a decent idea of the speed at which I won't get a ticket -- and the amount over the speed limit varies per road so the fact that it is so easy to customize on the fly is a big help. I have tried other speed-warning apps, including a couple that have more features (e.g. a fancy HUD as well as "speed-trap warnings", which is not important to me since my aim is to keep to a reasonable speed not too much over the speed limit!)... However, the other apps do not actually work in the background while I am using my GPS navigation or playing iTunes. This is a deal-breaker for me since I rely on audiobooks and music to get me through my commute. Speed-Reminder works perfectly in the background, so that if I unintentionally start to go above the speed threshold that I have chosen, I get a warning sound even when I am using my GPS app and playing music or audiobooks.
