This app sends a text message to a specified number when your android handset travels above a certain speed.
You specify what number to send the alert to and the travelling speed (in km/h or MPH) above which the message will be sent. The text message will contain the speed at which that handset was travelling!
The app runs in the background even if it is closed and is optimized to preserve battery life. The background speed tracking will stop in only the following situations:
1. Designated speed has been reached and a text message has been sent, or
2. Ten days have passed since speed tracking was started, or
3. The user taps on “Stop Tracking” in the Speed Alert app.
Speed Alert needs your permission to use the following features on your device:
1. GPS: This is for calculating the speed of your handset.
2. SMS: This is to allow Speed Alert to send a text message when the specified travelling speed is reached.
