WHAT is Soul de Soul? Soul de Soul is a dance convention co-founded and directed by best friends, Hilary McAlister and Kenzie Crosley, as a way of sharing their passion for dance with other young artists. SDS reaches to empower dancers of all ages by creating a community where they can dance, risk and excel in a safe environment with some of the best teachers and choreographers in the industry. SDS offers class in several styles but believes the improv class is the true heart of Soul de Soul as it imparts a new understanding and true love of movement.WHY we created SDS: Soul de Soul was created out of our shared concern of the closed off community that we felt in our city due to the lack of opportunity to take from other local teachers outside of home studios and the desire to bridge the gap between studios and dancers who were training down the street from each other 3 times a week. Our efforts were to create a safe place free from those boundaries and to offer a safe place where dancers, students, teachers and anyone with the shared affinity for dance could come create and experience others talents.
