Snoovies is a film magazine that you can read AND watch. A portable film festival bringing you new collections of films every two months. You watch the films right on the page.
NOTE: The Snoovies Magazine app appears in Newsstand. Once downloaded individual issues can be added.
Every two months we deliver a collection of short films through our app. We present these collections as Snoovies 'issues', in a magazine-style format. The films come hand-picked and are based on seasonal topics and/or genres. We also add exclusive behind-the-scenes interviews with the cast and crew, to help you get closer to up- and coming talent in the film industry.
What is different about our app is the level of detail we put in our selection and presentation. Every film is carefully selected on quality and fit, and beautifully presented in this magazine-style format. We deliver you the stories behind the films, through our in-depth video interviews. We also offer you ways to directly interact with the cast & crew, if you would like to get in touch.
Unlike Youtube and Vimeo, you don’t need an internet connection to watch the films in Snoovies Magazine. So you can grab a Quick Snoovie (or Quickie) whenever, wherever. Snoovies will be the app of choice for the missions to Mars. Probably.
Snoovies Issue #1 - "Struggle" - is absolutely free. Which is pretty amazing since it has a Snoovie that premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2012 (Lost Words) and a Snoovie featuring actress Emma Rigby (Hollyoaks and The Counselor with Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz & Michael Fassbender), shot by cinematographer Phil Meheux B.S.C. (Casino Royale & The Legend of Zorro).
Snoovies Issue #2 - "Cold Blooded Chillers" - includes an incredible debut from David Karlak, winner of the Savannah Film Festival (amongst others) and written and produced by Patrick Melton & Marcus Dunstan (director of Saw IV&V;). We also feature one of the four top war shorts ever – winner of MonFilm Film Festival (amongst others). And, of course, revealing interviews with the people involved.
Snoovies Issue #3 - "Love Life" includes 7 great Snoovies, many of which screened at a variety of festivals worldwide. We also feature a BAFTA nominee.
All Snoovies issues are free when streaming from the internet. For £1.99/€2.69/$2.99 you can download an issue that allows you to watch the films in it without an internet connection.
You can purchase a 6 month Snoovies subscription for $6.99/€5.99/£4.99. For this price, you can download all current and back-issues during this period. Your subscription will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase and will automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of your current period. Your iTunes account will automatically be charged at the same price for renewal, as stated above, within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period.
Current subscribers may not be canceled during the active subscription period, but you can manage your subscription and/or turn off auto-renewal by visiting your iTunes Account Settings after purchase.
