Sms Gateway makes two copies of all incoming text messages in the local folder
SMSGATEWAY. First copy is contained in a text file named "sms_backup.txt." This file has one row for each message received.
In each row there are presents the sender's name if it is contained in your contacts, the sender's number and the body of the message.
Similarly messages are stored in a second excel file named "sms_sheet."
In this file, the message body breaks into many fields contained in adjacent cells depending on the parts of the text contained in the original message between ‘*’ character.
An example:
Message Body = "Eric Smith * 405 Liberty Lane * Wilmington * NC * 28409"
each ‘*’ separate part of the message will be contained in a different cell on the same line.
Now using a one-way synchronization application to a cloud storage (eg Dropbox, google drive, etc.), you get the unpacked messages on a work station in a easy way.
