SCI FI CBT is a tool we designed to be used by trained therapist to teach kids the basics of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. One of the most popular genres in moves and video games today is the SCI FI genre. Helping kids to see themselves through the framework, this app provides scaffolding and helps to break down the stigma often associated with discussing feelings, while at the same time empowering them by changing the way they see themselves in their problems. The purpose of this app is to help these clients buy into, understand and apply the CBT concepts. This model is intended to help teach about thought recognition, emotional understanding, boundaries, empathy, and more.
