SayIt Dolch helps children and English language learners to recognize and pronounce the Dolch Sight Words. These are the most frequently used words compiled by Edward William Dolch, PhD. Memorizing these words is important in achieving reading fluency in English, for both native children and non-native English speakers.

SayIt Dolch provides the pronunciation, which you can listen to by clicking on the SPEAKER. When you are ready to test your pronunciation, click on the MICROPHONE. Wait for the red ring to appear and then speak the words. Words can also be saved to your Personal List by clicking on the NOTEPAD. The full list of words in each group can be viewed by clicking on the CARDS, where any word can be selected. With these words, SayIt Dolch can be used as vocabulary flash cards.

SayIt Dolch will provide you with feedback on your pronunciation by displaying stars. If your pronunciation is perfect, you will see FIVE stars. If not, the number of stars will indicate how close you are to the correct pronunciation. You will also see what a native speaker would interpret what you said as. This mode allows you to use SayIt Dolch as a vocabulary game.

SayIt Dolch can also translate the words into any one of most of the world languages. Click on the "Translate to ..." menu and choose the language you want to translate to. Click on the FISH to see what the words mean in your native tongue or any language of your choice. If the selected language is English, the definition of the word will be displayed in English.
