NOTE: Both the user and your Personal Saviour will need to have the Saviour Mobile SOS app installed as well as the Google Play Services, both of which are available from the Google Play Store.

Saviour Mobile SOS is a personal safety app to protect you when you are on your own, whether walking home from school or work, as a lone worker in a potentially hazardous environment or going into an unknown situation such as meeting a person for the first time.

This personal safety app allows you to set a designated Personal Saviour who will receive an automated message if you are in danger, showing them where you are. They will also be able to see a personalised message which you set beforehand giving them all the information they need to come to your assistance. If you are moving, location updates will be sent keeping them up-to-date with your current location.

Saviour Mobile SOS uses the Android device’s location services to provide an accurate location for you which is sent to the personal saviour when an alert is raised, showing them your location on a map. This allows help to be sent to the exact location it is required, when it is required.

The app requires users to set a 4-digit passcode to log in to the Saviour Mobile SOS in order to prevent unauthorised users from setting alarms on your app. For added security, the app also features a Secure Mode, which requires the user to enter their 4-digit passcode when logging-in, logging-out and cancelling alarm. This prevents alarms being cancelled by unauthorised people helping to further protect the security of the user.

Saviour Mobile SOS features four different modes of operation, each of which is designed to keep you safe in different circumstances. For each of these modes your current location is detected and sent to your Personal Saviour when an alert is raised.

1) Interval Alarm

This alarm counts down from a default of 10 minutes. At any point during the 10 minute countdown, the user has the ability to reset the countdown back to 10 minutes. This forces the user to check-in to confirm they are safe at least every 10-minutes. After 10 minutes has elapsed, the alert is raised and the designated Personal Saviour is notified. This type of alarm is useful for users who are due to spend an unknown amount of time working in a hazardous environment on their own as it regularly checks on the their welfare.

2) Meeting Alarm

This alarm counts down from a user defined time. If the user doesn’t cancel the timer before it has run out, the alert is raised and the Personal Saviour is notified. The user also has the option to add further information which will be seen by the personal saviour in the case of an alert being raised. This allows extra information to be sent which might be valuable in providing assistance. This type of alarm is useful for users who are entering a potentially hazardous environment for a known amount of time, such as meeting a new client for a 1hr appointment.

3) Panic Alert

The Panic Alert is available any time a user is logged into Saviour. It allows a user to quickly send an alert to the specified Personal Saviour when they require assistance. This alert will include the user’s location and any extra information which is sent. This alert is quickly triggered on any Android device with the Saviour Mobile SOS app installed and running.

4) Duress Alert

This feature allows a user to send an alert in the event of someone forcing them to disable the Saviour System. A user can enter their passcode in reverse order, which will appear to allow the user to operate Saviour as normal, but will also send a panic alert to their Personal Saviour. There will be no indication on the user’s handset that an alert has been sent. This is useful if you are being forced to disable the Saviour features by a would be attacker.
