A very simple but secure chat system which also helps young ones learn to read and write by wanting to copy "what you're doing on your phone". Our 5 year old can send us messages from her iPod Touch anytime she wants and we know nobody else but Mom + Dad can talk to her. It also supports GCM (Push Notifications) so you know you have a message waiting.
