Spotwalla is a secure location manager, which support several different devices for keep track of location during travels. It is routinely used by long distance motorcycle riders, bicycle riders, boaters and even RV owners.SWconnect allow you to connect with your account on Spotwalla, and tracks your progress on a timed basis. IOS users previously were able to use the Latitude app to share their location with SpotWalla, however, that application was removed in August, 2013.SWconnect is intended to run in the background. General use once logged in, is to simply enable tracking, put the app in the background, put your phone in your pocket and ride. Your points will be stored with the device information on SpotWalla, and you can create custom trips which show your location over a specified time period.BATTERY USAGE INFO:SWconnect uses GPS information, and as such battery use will be similar to most navigation type of applications. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.SWconnect uses the battery saving mode of "deferred locations" for owners of iPhone5 or newer when the application is running in the background, however it is always suggested to use external power when possible, or to turn off tracking during periods when you are not moving.
