A simple sms template app that lets you define (pick from contacts) recipients and then add template messages to them. Templates can also contain basic replacement tags, i.e. a tag could substitute "=password=" for "12345678" in the message.

This app was written to simplify sending of sms commands to remote control units, these units perform simple tasks like checking temperature, turning on or off outputs etc. The problem was that to do these simple tasks, sometimes long (and cryptic) commands needed to be sent. Often these commands changed a bit between units depending on the specific task.

To avoid using the commands directly, this app lets you store the commands as templates for each recipient (or available to all). To send a message, just select from a list of names (with optional description). Messages and replacement tags can either be tied to one recipient or marked as available to all.

The app does not automatically send the sms message, instead it uses the built in sms app, so you get a chance to look through and edit the message before actually sending it.

There is no pretty graphical interface, it has more of a functional design ;) Since it was written to help with a rather specific issue, it was not meant to be released but it seemed lazy not to do that extra bit of work so that others with similar issues could also benefit from it.
