Pulse is the app that measures your heart rate with a simple microphone. It works like a digital stethoscope. In free culture it is a Phonocardiogram*.

The heart rate values were validated with some heart rate monitoring. such as Polar and Zephyr Bluetooth technology.

Place the microphone in the palm of your hand or inside of a cup and use it like a stethoscope. You will need to be in a quiet room, and to be quiet, too.

More powerfull vizualizer? You can use Audacity. Audacity® is free, open source, cross-platform software for recording and editing sounds.

NOTE:

Since the mobile device market is very fragmented, this application only works on some devices.

You'll need to install the Adobe® AIR® runtime. sorry about that, but the embedded runtime was crashing on some devices.

NOTE II: IMPORTANTE

if you DO NOT put anything like the sound of your heart not expect good values. they will be generated because of the noise. in fact, when you put the sound of your heart the algorithm can hear it!
