PinPNG will let you pin PNG images to the start screen with support for transparency in the image!
Other tile creation apps do not properly support pinning images that have transparent pixels in them. The transparent parts end up being black or some other non-transparent colour.
Copy your images to your phone via USB, and then PinPNG will create awesome tiles that let the background show through.
"Ya well, StartPerfect already creates transparent tiles for me" This is true, but it creates only labels, or solid clear tiles. Go and try to pin an image that has transparent parts to it. Doesn't work. PinPNG takes care of this missing feature.
