I am a golfer but I am also a technology consultant. In the past I have used high-tech tools to assist with my golf game. The tools measure your body angles throughout the swing and give immediate feedback when you swing correctly or incorrectly. I thought that I would like to create the same thing for iPhone so that I can use this training aid at home and on the road. There are many different body angles but the most important is the spine angle throughout the swing. The main point is to maintain your spine angle. So I have created this app that will allow you to practice your upper body turn and give you immediate feedback if you lose you spine angle in the back swing and the follow through. If you rise up or dip down then the app will beep - a high-pitch beep when you rise and a low-pitch beep when you dip down. Firstly, do not use a golf club with this exercise. Put the iPhone against your sternum facing away from you. Get into your golf setup position. Tap on the screen and wait for the sound of a driver hitting the ball. This signifies that it is ready. Perform your back swing and follow through body turn. If you hear a high pitch beep then try to stay down in the turn. If you hear a low pitch beep then stay higher during the swing. If you hear nothing then you are doing it correctly. Silence is Golden.
