We have developed a cloud based, real time monitor, that shows a world map with plotted lines indicating connections between routers in the world. The system also keeps track of accessible services an websites per region, indicating in real time if a given region has limited or blocked access to any website (i.e. twitter, facebook, youtube, etc.) or service (i.e. email, ftp, ssh, p2p, etc.). And to gather this data, we developed a hybrid P2P network where peers verifiy their connectivity to the Internet, websites and services and send a report to our cloud aggregator. An Android agent was also developed to help bring clarity in the realm of mobile ISPs and wireless networks.

If you install this app, you'll be helping Open Monitor to monitor the internet connectivity in your region and you will be notified right away if any disruption occurs in the region you're in or in any region of your interest.

At the moment, this is an alpha version and it doesn't have all the functionality right in place yet, but we need your help to polish the rough edges and release newer and better versions! Thank you for your help!
