The NoTexting app was inspired by the problems facing drivers today with the urge to text and drive. Texting while driving is not only dangerous for the one texting, but also the other drivers around. In order to combat this problem, the NoTexting app automatically replies to text messages it receives while running with a message such as "I am driving right now. I will get back to you in a second." or any other user defined message. Not only will the app automatically reply, it will also dictate the message aloud for you and say who it is from so if it is an important message, you will hear it and you will then know whether or not you should pull over to reply. Not only is the app useful whilst driving, it can also be used while in a movie theater, or other places where it may be rude or dangerous to text. As stated previously, the app dictates the received messages aloud and who they are from. However, the user can easily turn on and off the dictation with the tap of a button. If, for example, you are in a movie and using the app to auto-reply then, or just do not want other people around you hearing the message.

NOTE:The app runs in the background, so you can do something else on your phone such as the GPS. this is especially important information,however, as in order to turn the app off (not have it reply with the "I'm driving right now message"), you must go into the app, press your menu button, then press the exit button that you are prompted with. Also, this only works on updated devices!!!

Once you have that installed, on your phones home screen go to Menu > Settings > Voice input & output > Text-to-speech settings, then Check "eSpeak TTS".
