NextToMe is a location based networking tool developed to discover social and professional opportunities next to you.
You can see basic information about other NextToMe users within (approximately) 30 meters of your current GPS location.
With NextToMe you have a personal profile page containing basic information and corporate/private identity badges of your own preference such as your employer, university, or favorite basket ball team. It's like an online business card, depending on where you are and what you would like to share with other NextToMe users. Creating a profile takes less than a minute. No friends, networks, locations, followers or maps.
Discuss with other users in an open chat lounge. No private messages. Just the people next to you, using NextToMe.
In addition, NextToMe contains this new feature: If you would like to discuss a certain topic, find fellow users sharing your interests, or chat with people from a certain geographical location - you can switch over from GPS mode to #hashtag mode. Type a hashtag, for example #JFK and view people using the same hashtag as you. View their profiles and start an open conversation in the digital chat lounge - world wide.
