This application is a tool which measures network characteristics.
The tests that can be carried out are:
A) Download speed B) Upload speed C) Delay/Jitter/Loss D) Trace-route
There are 4 modes of testing:
1) Beginner-Test, for automated multiple tests.
2) Advanced-Test, for automated multiple tests. This mode requires registration.
3) Expert-Test A, for performing individual tests on a set of servers.
4) Expert-Test B, for performing PING and Trace-route test on a manually given destination.
Results of the tests are stored anonymously in our data base for analysis and research.
This application is part of a MSc project developed by Chapsalis Georgios. The project was carried out in UCL under the supervision of Dr. Miguel Rio.
