While other apps provide practice in writing random single letters, My-Handwriting-Teacher gives practice in writing just the letters in a child's name, specific words or small sentence of your choosing. You can also choose to have your student practice the letters once or even five times before the assignment is completed. This not only increases the efficiency of learning how to write properly, but also allows for writing assignments of 5 to 15 minutes! STEP 1: MAKE YOUR ASSIGNMENTEnter a student's name, single letters, several words or small sentence.STEP 2: PICK HOW MANY TIMES TO DO ASSIGNMENTYou then choose whether you want your student to do the assignment once, twice, three times, four or five times. This not only gives practice needed to master correct letter formation skills, but also allows for assignments of 5, 10 or even 15 minutes long!STEP 3: STUDENT BEGINS FINGER TRACINGYour student then clicks the BEGIN button. The first letter in the child's name or sentence appears using oversize letters. A green "starting dot" also appears on the letter showing where to begin tracing. When the student touches the green dot, a series of blue dots appear one after the other showing how to trace the first stroke of the letter. A final red "stopping dot" also appears showing where to stop the stroke (and lift their finger). When the red dot is touched, another set of blue dots appear showing how to trace the next stroke. Upon finishing all letters in the assignment (name, sentence etc.), a score appears inside a box showing the percentage of blue dots traced through the center.
