That way you end the cooking process right away and the egg will not lose its softness.- The size of the egg The diameter of the egg is a very important factor in how the egg is going to turn out. If you want absolutely perfect results, you can use a caliper to measure the egg. For example, there are size L eggs that are rather longish. In this case, it’s possible that you get a better result if you cook it using the instructions for size M eggs. Obviously, this information is for eggsperts only.
